The other day I was looking through some blogs and found a blog that I thought was pretty interesting. It was by a homeschooling mom and she let you take a peek at her house on the messiest days (it was REALLY messy). I thought this was very brave of her so I decided to show how messy we get during the new school year and especially when I am planning for the new year. I usually have about 3 tables with some sort of schooling materials on them at all times during the school year. I do not like to clean something up and then have to get it back out again the next day, every day for 5 days. Not that my house is always clean but I think it is messiest when we are working on school projects and when I am planning school. I am totally to blame for this mess. My core curriculum, Beyond Five in a Row, is very well laid out and really does not need much of anything added to it but we like to explore all the avenues and take bunny trails to other topics which requires extra books and materials.
This is one pile of books I have on my table. My Beyond Five in a Row Volume 2 along with a bunch of library books. I am in the planning stages.
More library books organized and waiting to be used.
This is another pile of books with a few DVDs mixed in.
Someone unloaded my library bag on the floor. It must have been the cats.
Here are this year's Singapore math books.
And finally, my pile of planning sheets. This is the Beyond Five in a Row planner, and I will also be using a plain old spiral notebook as well (made from recycled materials of course).
