Annual gingerbread house decorating

Every year we decorate a gingerbread house.  We do not make it from scratch, gasp, we use a kit but it is great fun nonetheless.  This is how it went.

The kit.
Laying out the supplies and getting ready to make a mess.
Construction is complete, and we are ready to decorate it.
An aerial view of the rooftop.
Waiting for the frosting on the roof to dry.
We managed to save enough of the candy to actually decorate the house.  By this point my 9-year-old was bouncing around like crazy.  She ate half the candy and frosting by herself.
So far, it is turning out great.
The finished product.  Turned out pretty cute.  There is supposed to be a Santa cookie and a Christmas tree cookie but they  got eaten in the process.
