My big fat ancient Greece unit study

We are finally done with ancient Egypt and now we are heading to Ancient Greece.  We started off by just watching this video about Ancient Greece.
We like these DVDs because they are only
23 minutes long but very informative.
This book has really nice illustrations and is well-written
but inside was one of the strangest stories that we have ever read!
This is a book that we will pick and choose from.
Evan-Moor Ancient Greece History pocket.  We are going to use
this but we are also going to pull things from other places as well.

Our first assignment from the history pockets was to learn
about Sparta and Athens.
A venn diagram comparing and contrasting Sparta and Athens.
The discussion question asked to pick which side you would prefer
to be on, the brainy side or the brawny side.  Both of my kiddos both wanted to
be on the brainy side.  They thought that just being strong would
not be the best choice, and I AGREED!
This is a sheet that outlines the different periods of Ancient Greece.
We are off to a good start so far, and we have a lot more to learn.
