Radio building

In the story Homer Price, Homer is very interested in electronics, especially radios.  He is always tinkering with old radios.  In the Beyond Five in a Row volume 1 manual, there is a lesson on building your own radio so I thought why not give it a try.  I bought a kit and thought it would be no problem to just put together a few electrical wires but it turns out that was not the case.  I gathered all of the supplies they would need to put together the radio.  The pictures are of all of the thingamajigs and doodads that they needed.

The radio did not exactly work but we did hear a lot of static.  It was interesting because there was no battery or any type of electrical connection.  All in all, it was a good lesson even though the radio did not actually work.
