Math is one of those subjects that can cause great anxiety for most. Both of my girls have math phobia, no kidding. We have tried several math curriculums in the past and have finally found one that we actually like. We are using Singapore math. This program offers short lessons, colorful pages, and a lot of hands on options in the home educator's guide.
C11 is now working on geometry. So far, so good. I actually had to go back and relearn most of it. I also used some of the very helpful ideas that Jimmie had on her blog.
I also used a few other books with some hands on activities.
We are cruising through the lessons with no problems. She actually likes it "Way better than long division!" At one point in our math career, I thought that long division would surely be the death of me.
