Catbird

Another interesting bird we just found out about is the catbird.  We know what a cowbird is but never heard of a catbird before.  The catbird is in the group of songbirds and is related to the mockingbird.  They are called catbirds because their calls resemble a cat's meow.  There are a few varieties of catbirds.  Above is the gray catbird (Dumetella carolinensis) and below is the white-eared catbird (Ailuroedus buccoides).
