Super Full Moon-July 12, 2014

What is a Super Full Moon?

~A Super Full Moon is a fancy way to say when a new moon or full moon is at its closest point to earth.

It is hard for us normal folks to be able to identify a super full moon with our eyes as it is only a very small percent larger.  It is brighter by about 30%.

~July's super full moon is also associated with the time that male deer start growing their antlers, aka, full buck moon.
~July is also associated with the full thunder moon, guess why?  Right, thunderstorms are more common during July.

A super full moon does not mean that you get a free pass for howling though.
