One Direction/5 SOS in concert at the Georgia Dome.

This concert might have been the greatest thing we have ever been too (so far).  I am not even sure where to start.  I will just start by saying AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The concert was to start at 7 p.m. so we headed downtown around 2.  When we arrived, we had to figure out which line to get in to begin the wait.  There were no less than 30 different lines to wait in and each line had at least 100 people in it.  The Georgia Dome is massive in size, unbelievably so in my opinion.  We waiting until the doors opened at 5 and then we were allowed in only to find that we had "seats on the floor" so we had to get in yet another line to get wrist bands.  We had really good seats.  Finally, we made it to our seats and the crowds were already pumped up waiting for the concert to begin.  There was an unbelievable 70,000 people in the dome for this event.  Fox 5 news was there and several radio stations.

Prior to the concert beginning, a continuous stream of music and videos were playing on the screens on both sides of the stage, Highway to Hell, What I Like About You, and songs to Grease were blasting.  They also played a commercial for the One Direction perfume (You & I) which sent the teenage girls
over the edge.

Finally, the moment arrived.  The announcement that 5 SOS was on their way out.  Total mayhem broke out and rightfully so.  These boys were on fire!!!  They owned it!!!  I personally would not classify 5 SOS as a boy band, this is a rock band in my opinion.  They are musically so talented. They were all very charismatic, they all sang well, their performance was great!!  Positively great!!

They entertained for a little over 45 minutes.  The audience really loved 5 SOS but were anxiously waiting on One Direction to come out.  Someone started the wave and that filled up about 10 minutes.  There was chanting and yelling.  One Direction started a little late because the stage had to be reset for their special effects.  NO ONE CARED AT ALL THAT THEY WERE LATE.  When they finally arrived on stage, I think I went totally deaf, I had heart palpitations, and my feet went numb.  I believe out of the 70,000 people there, at least 69,000 were teenage girls.  The energy was like something I have never seen before.

They sang, they talked, they interacted with the audience, they were just, just fantastic!!!  I have to say that Harry is the cutest kid I have ever seen.  He is infectious!  He is so entertaining.  He seemed genuinely happy to be there and be doing what he was doing.  He joked around with the audience, he threw things into the crowds, he spit water into the audience.  He was the perfect performer.  Not to take anything away from the other guys because they also wowed the crowds.  Liam and Niall did a lot of talking to the audience.  They know how to work the audience.   Niall also played his guitar for the majority of the songs.  Every time the camera zoomed in on Louis, the girls screamed like crazy, and Zayn really did not have to do anything but stand there.  He is a very handsome young man.  Oh, did I mention the marriage proposal??  You can see that here.  A man named Bradly contacted One Direction for their help proposing to his girlfriend during the concert.  It was an amazing moment!

There were fireworks and confetti and many other special effects while they were performing.  I think everyone in the place had a light to hold up during the performances.  Since they started a little late, they ended a little late too but no one wanted to leave.  They left the stage and 20 minutes later, the majority of the audience was still there screaming for them to come back out.

I am not sure what else to say to do them justice.  If you have never seen One Direction in concert, you really should go.  It was more than fun, worth going temporarily deaf for, worth the random heartbeats, and worth the numb feet.  Worth every minute of it.

Lots of goodies, shirts, books, lights.
Exclusive tour shirts featuring both bands and printed on both sides.
The back of the T-shirt included dates and locations for the tour.

  2. We did have fun, we had a blast, however, I was told that I was singing too loud at one point.
