Birthday party!

A9 will soon be A10.  My baby girl is going to be double digits, and I am happy and sad all at the same time.  She invited her best friends over to spend the night and here are a few pictures of the fun.  It would appear that the party centered around food.  It seemed like a good idea at the time.
We had candy.....

Candy.....

Soda....

Air-popped popcorn....

Cupcakes....

Cupcakes.....

and cupcakes with candy....
We also had pizza and ice cream.

We have been very into planting things lately so we picked out party favors to reflect that.  Target had some great deals for $1.

We found these little metal buckets and filled them.

A gardening shovel.

Gardening gloves.

A starter kit for sunflowers (Helianthus annuus).  I just added this because we are studying Latin, and I like to show off.
There has been nonstop eating, nonstop laughing, and nonstop playing all day.  All of the girls are very happy and having a great time.  It is getting a little late and I see no end in sight.  I am thinking that might have something to do with the food selections.

Happy birthday A10!

  2. Wow -- I also see you're reading A Pocketful of Pinecones and you have a child reading Inkspell -- those are 2 current books in my house, too! I have yet to use Beyond FIAR, but want to. Any tips for me?

  3. Hi Mary and thanks.

We love all things FIAR. Sadly, our journey with FIAR has ended but we are loving Beyond FIAR. We have done a few titles but we took a break to work on some ancients for a while. We will be starting back soon with Helen Keller. Are you on the forums?

I have read Pocketful of Pinecones twice. I love it. I also like the Charlotte Mason Companion. I have read it a few times.

My oldest dd just finished Inkheart and started Inkspell the same day. She really likes them.

I will check out your blog.

    Thanks for visiting with me.
