Appalachian Trail
We started working on world history and geography 2 weeks ago. We started out with North America which lead us to the Appalachian Trail and that is where my kids wanted to hang out for a while. So, we will be focused on the Appalachian Trail and all 14 states that it crosses through starting with GA. We will also learn about plants, animals, insects, and the trees that can be found on the Appalachian Trail. I also found a live streaming webcam with a great view from a mountain in GA that we have been watching. This is a pretty big detour from world history and geography but that is another beauty of homeschooling, we can shift gears any time we like. We will pick up world history and geography when we are done on the trail and start with Canada.
