Child support

Child support, what is it?  Well, child support is support paid to the primary custodial parent by the other parent to do just that, hence the name child support.  WOW!  You do not even need a Latin or Greek class to understand that.  It does not sound all that complicated to me but somehow a lot folks cannot grasp the idea of this.  Let me say it again.  Child support is to help the children have the things they need which include food, shelter, water, etc.  The necessities, things that must be available.  Music lessons, baseball, or cheer leading do not fall under the child support category in any state in all of the USA!  Those are fun but not necessary.  When a family has been ripped apart by the acts of an idiotic, selfish, self-centered person or for some other reason, it is very hard on the children.  They did not do anything to deserve this but yet it is thrust upon them, and there is nothing they can do about it.  So they keep going forward because they have to.

Why on earth would a parent purposefully deprive their own children of things that are necessary?  I cannot even imagine how.  Oh, wait, I guess that could happen when a parent is so absorbed in their own selfish life that they spend all the money, and there is no money left over for the kids that need it and the other parent that is trying to take care of the kids.

Let me give you a perfect example.  Here is an idiot on facebook.  He made a video in which he is flaunting his money but somehow has forgotten that he has not paid child support so he is arrested.  Serves the jerk right though. Neglect and abandonment are not the best qualities in a parent.  He deserves to be arrested and so does anyone else that does not pay child support.  You cannot hide from your responsibilities no matter how fast of a runner you think you are.  YOU.WILL.NOT!  The money rightfully belongs to the child.

So here is my final thought.  CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS ARE NOT A LUXURY THAT CAN BE PAID WHENEVER ONE FEELS LIKE IT.  IT IS A NECESSARY TRANSACTION THAT MUST TAKE PLACE TO ENSURE THE CHILDREN WILL HAVE WHAT THEY NEED.  A very simple concept.  I think anyone with a 3rd grade education could understand that but yet there are still some that just do not get it.  If you want to go to the beach, jump out of planes, or buy a fancy car, you better make sure that your children have everything they need before you do so.  How would that look if you were I don't know? skydiving? but you owed child support and just could not get enough to pay the child support even though skydiving is about $200 a pop.  That would be odd, right?  No wonder you do not have the child support, you spent it on yourself.  DUH!  When you have kids, it does not work that way.  THE.KIDS.COME.FIRST.NO.MATTER.WHAT!  If you cannot understand this, don't have kids.  Some people really should not be parents anyway.  Change places with the child for a moment and see how it would feel to know that your parent has been out doing all these fun things and posting pictures with other peoples kids on the internet and going out to dinner and whatever else at your expense.  The money has been all spent and there is nothing left for you.  I do not think that would be a very good feeling.

Here is an excerpt from Money Crashers regarding parents not paying child support.  If the non-custodial parent does not pay child support, contact your state attorney and/or district attorney ASAP!  The state agencies must help you collect the delinquent child support payments at once.  They have state agencies that are designed to help track down these delinquent parents and get the child support that is owed.  Here are a few of the consequences of not paying child support from Money Crashers.  Your property can be seized, oh, unless of course your property is already in foreclosure-that will not do them any good, suspension of your business license, you can't run a business without that, suspension of your driver's license, can't drive without that, tax refund interception-duh, wage garnishment, duh, and arrest with time in jail-maybe this would do the trick!  Can you imagine going to jail because you did not support your child?  That is the kind of parent that all kids dream of having.  A parent that has to be told to support them and have the law enforce that.  Nothing says love more than that.  Supporting your children is not an option.  Get over it!
