My girls never cease to amaze me. They are both so gifted in their own ways. C14 is not a fan of showing off her artwork and her writing projects. Today, she had to because I am the teacher, she is the student, and I have to make sure it is on par. She is in 9th grade after all.
I gave them the assignment from our WriteShop program to work on. They both got to choose a topic to write about. They were only supposed to write a single paragraph using as many descriptive words as they could without going overboard. A12 ended up writing three full paragraphs and C14 wrote her paragraph like a pro. These girls have a super grasp on punctuation, and they both are making good use of the synonym finder. I am so proud of them even though it does not seem like a big deal!

Aw, we love to hear stories like this, Tracey! It is a big deal when our reluctant or unenthusiastic writers begin to find their footing. Thanks for sharing!
