Baby bird watch, May 2014

We had so much fun following this family of Grey-tufted titmouse birds from the time the eggs were laid until they flew away.  This lasted over 18 days, and we have a variety of pics from every day they were in our bird box.  Another very simple activity that adds to so much to education.

Visit Cornell Lab or Ornithology for more on these special birds.

They went from being little scrawny, alien-looking babies to velvety-winged beauties.  We enjoyed them very much.  I don't think they were all that happy with the amount of photographs we took and how many times we opened their box and breathed on them while they were sleeping but I think they will do just fine.
