Adventures in pet sitting.

My girls are gaining popularity in the pet sitting business in our area.  They get asked all the time which is fantastic!

They were pet sitting this last weekend at a home with a heavily wooded backyard when the discovery of an Eastern Ribbon Snake in the process of eating a frog (which was way too big IMO) was made by the dogs.

It is always good to know when you are in the woods if a snake is poisonous or not.  Luckily, the Eastern Ribbon Snake a.k.a. Thamnophis sauritus sauritus is not a poisonous snake.  It is, however, rather fancy looking with those yellow stripes.  Sadly, we could not get a picture of the snake we saw but below is an image to reference.  I also added a few links if you want to learn more.
