when you have been warned take the warning seriously or you will get burned!
Over 2,000 years ago a master craftsman Daedalus and his son, Icarus, were imprisoned by King Minos of Crete to create a labyrinth to contain his Minotaur. Daedalus wanted desperately for him and his son to escape King Minos. He fashioned two sets of wings out of wax and feathers, one for him and one for his son. The time came for them to escape. Daedalus cautioned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun and not to fly too close to the sea but once Icarus started to fly, he failed to heed his father's warning and flew straight up to the sun. A few minutes later, Icarus plunged to his death in the sea below.
Learning a lesson the hard way is never fun but sometimes that is just the way it has to be. At least Icarus has a sea named after him, Icarian Sea.
