Rock and mineral study.

Our study of Sarah, Plain and Tall has guided us to the study of rocks.  Below are just a few books and DVDs that we used.

Rocks In His Head is a story about a man who loves rocks and collects them for his own enjoyment.  This book also touches on the depression and Henry Ford's model T cars.  It is a quick and enjoyable read.   Let's Go Rock Collecting has a lot of information on a very basic level so that it is easy to understand.




365 Science Experiments and The Complete Guide To Rock & Minerals

Eyewitness Rocks & Minerals and the DVD and a field guide to rocks and minerals

These are rock and mineral kits that I picked up at the homeschool expo a few weeks ago and a large pumice rock.
