Its for the birds!

To go along with our bird watching, we made a pine cone bird feeder.  We have made these before but since we were participating in The Great Backyard Bird Watch, we thought it would be a good idea to add a little extra treat for them.
Get a pine cone.
Get some peanut butter.
Cover the pine cone with the peanut butter.
This is a bag of black-oiled sunflower seeds.
This is a mix of sunflower seeds, nuts, and dried berries.
Plain, unsalted nuts.
After you roll your pine cone covered in peanut butter in the seeds, you simply add a string and hang it outside.  We placed ours outside around noon and by 2, it looked like the plain pine cone that we started out with.
There you have it!
