Highlights from the first 4 chapters.
Chapter 1
~comparing life in England to life in America in the 1800s
~learning about the countries that make up the United Kingdom and its history
~thermometers
~map lesson: labeling the countries of the UK and labeling London, Liverpool, Glasgow
Chapter 2
~studied Paris, France
~map lesson: labeling England, London, Paris, and France
Chapter 3
~learned about the different modes of transportation and the history of transportation
Chapter 4
~played a game called Whist
We also worked on vocabulary words for each chapter and discussion questions from Trail Guides to World Geography.
We will also be tracking Mr. Phileas Fogg and Passepartout's journey with the map below from Wikipedia.
