Test scores are back!

Please do not consider this a brag but both of my children did great on their standardized tests.  They usually do, and I am glad but I often wonder how they would feel if they did not do well.  Some children  just do not test well.  So what happens when a bright child does not do well on a test?  What does that say about him or her?  Does that make a child feel bad and inadequate?  How do you handle that?  And what if a child scores really high in all areas, does that child feel better and superior?  I have never really been a fan of testing.  I think it just puts too much pressure on children.  I am not trying to teach my children information to pass tests and then forget as soon as the test is over, I am trying to teach them in a way that they can retain and recall information for more than a week.

Well, like I said, I am not bragging.  I am just proud!  We are VERY lucky to be able to home educate.  I work very hard to provide my children with a well-rounded life academically.  So congratulations to the kiddos!
