Around the World In 80 Days

I thought it would be fun to start off our new school year with a trip around the world so our first literary unit will be Around the World In 80 Days by Jules Verne.

I am in the planning stages.  It gets quite messy.

The unit study lessons are included in Trail Guides to World Geography.

Lots of fun arts and crafts can be found in Geography Through Art.

You have to have an atlas or two to study the world.  This year we are going to be adding in other types of maps such as political maps, climate maps, economic or resource maps, environmental maps, and topographic maps.

Around the World game.  We have played this before, and it is a lot of fun.

Geocards for review.

We will put all of our notebooking pages in a notebook as they are completed.  At the end, we will have a nice scrapbook of what we have learned.
