Botany study

A11 just started Apologia Botany.  One of the first activities was to grow some herbs.  Luckily for us, grandma had given her a little pizza garden kit which included growing 3 herbs so I did not have to go out and buy anything.  I like it!  We decided that even though the focus was herbs, we would go ahead and plant the whole kit which included tomatoes, basil, oregano, green bell pepper, scallions, and parsley.  We loved everything about this kit, so easy to put together.

Cute packaging.  It is like an egg carton.
So first, A11 took out the soil pellets and moistened them with water.
We organized our supplies.  The seeds, wooden sticks for labeling, and a pencil.  Everything but water was included.  Fantastic!
All the dirt has been distributed in equal amounts in the egg carton and the seeds have been added.  On your mark, get set, grow!
After that, A11 placed the wooden stick to mark each plant, added a little water, and then on the windowsill they went.
This was such an easy to do project since everything was included.  In a few days, we should start to see some results and hopefully make a pizza with the ingredients that were grown by A11.  Watch out Papa John's A11 is in the house.
