Happy birdday to my wild bird girl!!

I cannot believe my little baby bird is all grown up and is (sniff) 12 years old.  No more kid's menus, and no more reduced tickets prices.

Next year, she will be a teen (gasp!)  Time is really going by so, so fast but I am so happy that I was here to see it all play out so far.  I love my bird girl!  She is wild, wacky, crazy, sassy, smarty-butt, sweet, loyal, kind, and very sensitive to others.  She is a great friend to her friends, she is a great sister to her sister, and she is a great daughter to her mother (that's me!).  She is my little protector and I need a protector right now.

Her birthday is actually on Tuesday but today, we are having a big birthday bash with my family with cousins,  2nd cousins, aunts, uncles, and a few others.  She is going to be having a bird cake, imagine that.  Not a cake made out of birds, just decorated as such.

On Tuesday, we are taking the day off of school and heading to the mall (just the 3 of us) so she can pick out a few presents for herself with the gift cards she has on the way.  She really enjoys shopping for herself.  We will probably do our usual lunch and hang out until she is out of gift cards.

Today will be a great day and Tuesday will be a great day!!!
