Warning, Mom brag ahead....

Shoutout to C for being the at the top of her class in OT School the first freaking semester and bringing home straight A's!  I never had any doubt she would do anything less.  So proud of my punk, she just keeps on being the best and the most selfless person I know!

And this just happened...

I mean it is certainly not a shock to me that my awesome daughter would be accepted from a group of 350 applicants, in which only 40 applicants would be selected to the occupational therapy program at Augusta University. She just went for the interview on Monday, and they already contacted her back. That is a big freaking deal for sure and after I get done crying, I will be back to post more. I am beyond proud and for the first time in my life, speechless, which never happens.

And this was just announced.......

This is incredible!  TOP and Awol together???
We are so excited to see them in Tennessee and then
back in the ATL.  Separately these bands are amazing but
together, I am not sure how to describe it.
The Holy Grail of concerts ladies and gentlemen!

Colluding with the Russians, well, not exactly......

It is so much fun helping out new homeschoolers.  Our neighbors, who have only been in the US for a few years are about to start their first year of homeschooling with their 5-year-old daughter, who only speaks Russian, by the way.

She is such a sweet kid.  Most of the time, she has no idea what we are talking about but she LOVES being around the girls no matter what language they are speaking or what they are saying.  She laughs nonstop.

It has been my pleasure helping her mom get a plan in place so they can experience school in a positive and fun manner.  It is hard to believe this is my last year of being a homeschooling mom but I have loved every minute of it.  I think that children thrive and do better when at least one parent, especially their mother, takes a real interest and genuine care for their children.  They are only kids once and for such a short amount of time so being their for the kids takes priority over everything else in my opinion.  It just makes sense.  I cannot understand how anyone could think otherwise.

I love being a veteran homeschooling mom and mentoring the newbies.  Looking forward to helping out my fellow homeschoolers and graduating my last homeschooling brainiac and so very proud of my straight A student for her first full year of college.  Life is great!
Thanks for horsing around with me. You really never know what you will get when you read my blog so thanks for stopping by.
